Slings

Many moons ago I used to carry a sling with me all of the time, ususall 4 or so prime sling stones. Lived on the Left Coast, 2 blocks from the beach. Practiced with it alot and got so I could hit a 2 liter bottle at about 35 yards. One time I thought I would scatter the garbage geese (seagulls) by winging a rock at them, ooops wacked one on its no-brain bucket. The tourists were upset. To say the least. If I thought I could have hit it I wouldn't have done it.
Anyone out there ever messed with a sling? Could have some apps in a shtf situation.

I once toyed with the concept of a sling as a kid but the only thing I ever managed to hit was face. :T
