New guy on the block, found the site and decided to join. I can see it's a small forum but I'll stick around anyway.

Alright, Here's my baby (And yes, these are big pics....)

Nice gun and photos. The knife looks like it gets used on a regular basis. Do you carry .45 ACP FMJ?

I like the 5th picture down the best, but I love me some two tones let me tell you. Welcome aboard!

Thank you for the compliments. Being part of the military, they teach you tactical, tactical, tactical.... well, I'm a civilian now and I saw no sense in getting a blacked out semi-auto. I love my Bi-Tone too!

Hat's off to whichever modulator resized the pictures.

Yes, I do carry 230GR FMJ's. I like to keep the first three or four rounds of my hallow point mags FMJ for penetration if I may need it. The loads in the picture are Winchester loads, but I'm looking for some Federal HST 230 +P's. ammo to Go has 'em for around $30 per box of 50, but they don't have any inventory.

Also, yes, my KABAR gets lots of regular use. I used to do construction & framing... I can't tell you how helpful that blade is on a job site. Be careful with KABAR's though, some of their blade's vary in the type of steel they use. 1095 CroVan (Chrome Vanadium) is the only way to go!

Oh, and thank you for the welcome!

230 Grains of Full Metal Jacket is the way .45ACP was meant to be carried. :crossesarms:

I'm planning on moving to FMJ in my 1911 as soon as I get some GI feed lip mags. The reliability and smoothness with which it feeds in that combination is just unreal.

Did someone say GI 1911 magazine and full metal jacket?
