Next time, set your white balance in your camera. Those are too far gone for me to correct.

Expansion of these seven 185-gr. DPX +P bullets is pretty consistent. These were fired into water from the SIG-Sauer P220 and impacted at an average velocity of 1062 ft/sec.

Propellants were hairspray with oxygen to give it a bit more oomph. Another combination that he likes is Mapp gas plus oxygen.

The firing mechanism is this trigger device. When released, it smacks a shotgun primer for primary ignition.

This is my Savage Enfield made in 1942. All the parts have matching serial #'s, of course the stock isn't original. That was changed sometime before it made it to my family. My grandfather bought it from his brother in the '70s for $15.

thank you. that was my 1st high powered rifle as well. my grandfather officially passed it on to me when i turned 14. it's been an excellent deer rifle since then.
